The Council of Queensland Insurance Brokers (CQIB) has rescheduled its 2021 convention to October.

The CQIB Convention 2021 is designed to educate, inform, entertain, and motivate delegates with various speakers.

This year, the CQIB intended to hold the convention in August. However, the COVID-19 restrictions forced the CQIB to postpone the event and move the date of the convention to October 22 to 24 at the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort.

Founded in 1980, CQIB is a professional association that plays a key role in the Australian insurance industry. It represents nearly 54 Queensland firms collectively employing nearly 800 staff and placing in excess of $500,000,000 in annual premiums from over 200,000 clients.

All CQIB members are insurance professionals licensed by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) after extensive accreditation procedures.

CQIB said it is working with its suppliers and attendees to rebook them in for the new dates.

“With restrictions easing in QLD, we look forward to a successful event,” the association added.
