Insurance brokerage McLardy McShane has renewed its sponsorship agreement with the Melbourne Football Club, extending its role as the team’s Official Insurance Advisor Partner for another two years.

The partnership, which began ahead of the 2023 AFL season, will now run through at least 2026.

What to expect from the sponsorship agreement extension

McLardy McShane co-founders Don McLardy, a former Melbourne FC president, and Mike McShane, a Foundation Hero, have longstanding ties to the club.

The company’s ongoing support aligns with its broader strategy of engaging with the Melbourne community and the AFL fan base.

CEO Don McLardy said the extension reflects the company’s positive experience with the partnership.

“We have loved partnering with Melbourne Footy Club; we’ve seen some great benefit in jumping on board over the past two years, and we’re confident that positivity will continue into the 2025 and 2026 seasons,” he said.

He also noted the visibility the sponsorship provides at the Melbourne Cricket Ground during home games.

“It’s always a source of great pride and excitement seeing the McLardy McShane logo dotted around the MCG at Demons home games,” McLardy said.

Growth strategy with the Melbourne Football Club

The company, which has recorded an annual growth rate of 35% over the past five years, expects to strengthen its market presence alongside the club’s ongoing success.

“McLardy McShane is enjoying a strong growth phase at the moment, with an annual growth rate of 35% over the past five years, so we look forward to growing alongside the Dees and working towards that next premiership,” McLardy said.

The brokerage also anticipates an increase in clients who are Melbourne FC supporters as the sponsorship continues.

Annual FightMND Golf Day achieves record fundraising total

Beyond its commercial partnership, McLardy McShane recently marked a fundraising milestone at its seventh annual FightMND Golf Day, generating $120,000 for medical research and support initiatives.

Held at Moonah Links on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, the event attracted 120 participants, with former AFL player and MND advocate Neale Daniher launching the day’s proceedings.
