GetSetGo, the car insurance brand of Coleraine-based insurer MCL Insurtech Ltd, has announced that it has undergone a rebranding involving several changes including its website appearance and social assets along with the reveal of its newest brand ambassador, Irish rugby player Rob Kearney.

“We are thrilled to reintroduce GetSetGo with an innovative approach tailored to drivers aged 17 years and up, catering to both young drivers and seasoned motorists,” said Gary McClarty, managing director and founder of MCL InsureTech Ltd.

In a Press release, GoSetGo noted that Kearney’s addition to the brand as an ambassador serves as a symbol of its commitment to being a game changer when it comes to insurance.

“We are equally excited to welcome Rob Kearney as our brand ambassador. His remarkable achievements in rugby mirror our aspiration to be transformative within the insurance sector,” said McClarty.

With GetSetGo solely available online, its rebranding allows customers to avail of its services with greater convenience. Apart from the innovations made on its site, the brand has also introduced a rewards system for its customers.

“GetSetGo acknowledges and rewards the loyalty of our customers. Our focus on potential savings aligns perfectly with the current financial climate, where clients stand to gain significant benefits. By reshaping the car insurance landscape with our rewards scheme, we aim to offer a respite from the conventional inflexibility of insurance costs,” said McClarty.

“With this in mind we have introduced a new tagline, which we believe fits perfectly with our enhanced offering; Game-changing insurance that’s Faster. Better. Easier,” he added.

The rewards scheme ensures that the more credits policyholders earn, the less they will need to pay for subsequent policies. It includes the “Earn As You Insure” part of the rewards system where customers earn about 50 reward credits, each worth £1 for every time they purchase a policy. These can then be applied to other car insurance policies. The product range is set to expand over the next 12 months and will include weekends away, health and beauty products, and many others.

There is also the “Refer and Earn” part of the programme where if customers and non-customers successfully refer a friend, they will receive 50 reward credits that are worth £50 together with the new policyholder. 

GetSetGo was first launched by MCL InsureTech Ltd in 2021 as a solely online car insurance brand.
