Global insurance broking giant Acrisure has partnered with Mopoli Sigorta Aracılık Hizmetleri A.Ş., one of Türkiye's most established insurance intermediaries, marking the US firm's first move into the Turkish market.
Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
Under the deal, Istanbul-headquartered Monopoli Sigorta will join Acrisure's international platform while continuing to operate under its own brand and with its existing leadership intact.

Upland Capital’s Doug Alexander has a message for every organization chasing AI right now: slow down and do the math. He’s bringing that point of view — and the accountability framework behind it — to InsuranceFest this July.
Founded more than 25 years ago in the Maslak district of Istanbul, Monopoli Sigorta has built its position through a portfolio acquisition framework, an in-house business partnership programme and a proprietary partner platform supporting a nationwide broker network. In 2016, it became one of the first Turkish intermediaries to attract institutional private equity backing, with EMF Capital Partners taking a stake.
The deal represents a long-awaited entry into a high-growth market. Türkiye's insurance sector is the largest between the Middle East and Europe, with total gross written premiums exceeding $25 billion, and premium volume for 2025 is projected to reach approximately $29.3 billion, with non-life premiums having grown 72% in 2024 and local insurers recording net profits nearly 60% higher year-on-year.
Co-founders Erol Esentürk, CEO, and İzzet Bonofiyel, COO, will remain in place.
"I am delighted to welcome Monopoli Sigorta to Acrisure as our Turkish partner. Establishing our first presence in the region has long been a priority for Acrisure," said Jason Howard, president of Acrisure International. "Erol and Izzet share our entrepreneurial mindset, our commitment to sustainable growth, and our dedication to placing clients at the centre of everything we do."
The European expansion sits alongside a growing UK footprint - Acrisure's UK broking platform now consists of nine acquired businesses, alongside Acrisure Re, Acrisure London Wholesale, three MGAs and Eleven Network. The firm has been rebranding these entities under a unified identity: Hine Chartered Insurance Brokers and CRK Commercial Insurance Services adopted the Acrisure name in October 2025, following earlier rebrands of Sutton Winson, Affinity Brokers, FinCred and Building and Land Guarantees.
Its London operations extend beyond retail broking. In January 2026, Acrisure London Wholesale launched Acrisure Connect, a digital platform developed with Verisk Specialty Business Solutions and backed by Lloyd's syndicates including Flux Syndicate 1985, designed to improve how small and mid-sized businesses access the London market.
The Monopoli Sigorta partnership could open a further channel, with Acrisure's Lloyd's and specialty market relationships potentially providing Turkish corporate clients with access to global capacity for complex risks.
Acrisure's model, acquiring established local intermediaries while retaining leadership and brand identity, and layering in technology, data and international distribution, is one UK brokers will recognise from transactions closer to home.
The Turkish move extends that template into a market where international intermediary presence remains relatively limited but appetite from global players is clearly growing.
