Aon chairman to step down
Aon has confirmed the decision of Steve Beslity, chairman of global marine at Aon Risk Solutions, to retire by mid-2018.

Beslity, who has been with Aon since 2005, will spend the next six months working closely with Lee Meyrick, chief executive officer of global marine, to ensure a smooth transition for clients.

Prior to being chairman of global marine, Beslity was CEO of Aon’s global marine business and before that deputy chairman of Benfield Corporate Risk.

“I’d like to thank Steve, both personally and on behalf of Aon for the contribution he has made to our global marine business over the past 12 years,” Aon Global Specialty CEO Sandeep Malik said.

“Steve has been instrumental in helping us build an outstanding team that serves our clients around the world,” he added.
