Aon reinsurance solutions gets UK chairman

Don Magee has taken on a new role at an Aon Plc unit.

If you look at the executive roster of Aon’s reinsurance solutions business, you’ll find that the company stalwart now serves as UK chairman. He will be working closely with UK chief executive of reinsurance solutions Nick Frankland.

The Newman Martin and Buchan alumnus came onboard Benfield, Lovick & Rees – which eventually became Aon Benfield – in 1991. Last year Aon retired its Benfield and Risk Solutions brands, after doing the same with Hewitt in 2017.  

Magee’s credentials include time spent at Hall, Harford Jeffreys International as well as Thomas R Miller (Energy) Limited.
