Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has hired David Corrigan as head of property for the UK.
Based in London, Corrigan joins BHSI from Aviva where he served as head of property, global corporate & specialty. The key hire brings more than two and a half decades of experience in the UK large corporate property market and the London Market wholesale segment.
In his new role, Corrigan will have oversight of BHSI’s underwriting of property coverage for a wide range of risks such as construction, energy, and mining.
“BHSI continues to drive robust growth across our property portfolio in the UK and throughout Europe,” BHSI UK country manager Nick Major said in a release.
“David has a wealth of experience and shares BHSI’s deeply technical approach to underwriting. I look forward to working with him as we further expand our customer and broker relationships throughout the region.”
