Brokerslink has announced the appointment of Youness Rhallam (pictured above) as president and Patrick Verlinden as vice-president of its advisory board.
The appointments were unanimously confirmed by the advisory board members, marking a strategic step in the organisation’s leadership structure.
Rhallam serves as CEO of Alpha Assurances, a Moroccan brokerage firm, while Verlinden is CEO of Belgian broker Van Dessel Insurance Brokers. Both bring extensive industry experience to their new roles, which will focus on providing strategic guidance to Brokerslink’s operations.
José Manuel Fonseca, president and CEO of Brokerslink’s board of directors, outlined the distinction between the organisation’s governance bodies. He noted that the board of directors is responsible for operational decision-making and strategy, while the advisory board provides consultative input to support the broader organisational vision.
In his remarks following the election, Rhallam expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in him.
“It is an honour to serve as president,” he said. “We must strengthen communication between the advisory board and the board of directors whilst increasing the quality and frequency of feedback and proposals.”
The appointments come as Brokerslink seeks to further strengthen its position in the global brokerage industry. The organisation views the leadership of Rhallam and Verlinden as key to advancing its goals and supporting its global network of partners.
A few months ago, Brokerslink has added two new affiliates to its roster: Inclusive Guarantee and Polygon. The expansion is set to strengthen the organisation’s ability to provide specialised insurance and risk management solutions across diverse markets.
Inclusive Guarantee, a specialist broker with operations across Ivory Coast, Senegal, Mali, and Burkina Faso, focuses on agricultural risks and microinsurance. The company’s mission is to make insurance more accessible, particularly for those who are often excluded from traditional insurance systems.
Polygon, based in Sweden, is considered a European leader in property damage restoration. The company operates in 19 countries and serves a variety of sectors, including insurance, property management, government, and industrial clients. Polygon specialises in managing damage caused by water, fire, and climate-related incidents, offering expertise in prevention, control, and mitigation efforts.
