International underwriter CFC has strengthened its global leadership team, announcing the appointment of two directors who will be in charge of marketing and human resources.

Joining the largest independent MGA in the London market are Katherine Nellums and Peter Samuel – the former tasked to oversee global marketing strategy and the execution of programmes aimed at increasing brand awareness and generating demand for CFC’s offerings, while the latter will be responsible for the firm’s people strategy and efforts to embed CFC’s culture and brand values throughout the business.

“We’re at an incredibly exciting stage in our journey as a company, and the addition of Katherine and Pete to our leadership team further solidifies our commitment to becoming a global leader in specialist insurance as well as an employer of choice in the London market,” commented CFC chief executive David Walsh.

Nellums, who served as vice president of marketing at software company LoopUp, brings with her 15 years of experience in driving strategic communications and marketing initiatives for fast-growth and newly-public technology companies in London and Silicon Valley. Samuel, meanwhile, has more than 16 years of experience in human resources and most recently was global HR director at HiFX.

“Katherine and Pete are high-calibre professionals with deep expertise in their respective fields, and most importantly, they share our passion for the culture and vision of CFC,” added Walsh. “We are delighted to welcome them on board.”
