Managing general agent Commercial Express has launched its improved complimentary training scheme for insurance brokers.

The MGA’s revamped Training Academy for insurance agents and independent brokers now features six interactive courses that will provide the latest and crucial information on broker-specific products.

The training scheme is also designed to be completely flexible, allowing brokers to tailor the time, place and content of their course to suit individual needs.

“Our training academy is designed to deliver comprehensive training to brokers, enabling them to improve their working practises and generate more business in a quicker timeframe,” said Commercial Express CEO Duncan Pritchard.

According to the MGA, the training academy delivered courses to over 600 agents in 2015, resulting in a 48% increase in policies incepted and a 35% rise in quote activity among brokers who completed a course.

“Our initial launch was to test the appetite, and it proved very successful,” Pritchard said.

“After gaining feedback from all our clients following our course, we have now revamped the offer to ensure it really hits the nail on the head for every broker that embarks on a course and we are looking forward to inviting our next group of delegates.”
