Former Oman Insurance Company CEO Christos Adamantiadis has been appointed as the new principal executive for EXIN Group’s portfolio companies and as executive committee member come next year.

Prior to serving as chief executive at the Dubai-headquartered firm, Adamantiadis worked at AIG for more than a decade. The insurance and financial services expert will be based in Switzerland and will oversee operations in mainland Europe, including EXIN Group’s significant investments in Greece and growth strategy for Central Europe.

“I am excited to be taking up this new challenge and really looking forward to working with EXIN investors and management team to realise the full potential of the company’s ambitious, multi-country vision,” said Adamantiadis, who comes onboard in January. “EXIN’s entrepreneurial, bold, and innovative culture fully matches and reflects my own business values and drivers.”

The full-service financial services business has insurer, in-house asset management, and reinsurance capabilities, as well as a managing general agency.

“Apart from his impressive academic and business track record, Christos combines a uniquely granular knowledge of the insurance industry with an extensive international experience,” commented EXIN Group founder and chief executive Matt Fairfield. “He is a substantial addition to our Group and will undertake exciting and challenging assignments in the region including recent and forthcoming acquisitions.”
