Brokerage giant Gallagher has “completed” the leadership team of two key broking areas in the UK – its small business and personal lines divisions.

The firm has promoted James Collins and hired Elaine Lennox to fill the roles, both of whom will report to Gareth Birch, the company’s managing director of small business and personal lines.

Collins will head up dedicated block-of-flats broker Deacon, assuming the responsibility alongside his current role of overseeing over-50s insurance specialist Insure4Retirement. Together they make up the Bournemouth office, which is the division’s largest regional base.

Meanwhile, Elaine Lennox joins having most recently been direct and partnership manager for Zurich Insurance and its personal lines division and having also enjoyed a 10-year stint at JLT. Lennox becomes managing director of leisure for Gallagher’s UK holiday and home parks business based in Gloucester.

“We’re primed to push ahead with our plans for strategic growth and Gallagher has fantastic teams in both the block-of-flats and leisure sectors,” said Birch. “Elaine and James will be natural leaders for those specialist businesses who daily look after customers with challenges and complexities unique to their fields.

“With her customer-focused skills and sector experience, Elaine is a great cultural fit for our well-established holiday and home park team, which has demonstrated such impressive growth over recent years. While James’s success at developing and driving forward the Insure4Retirement business made him was the clear choice to promote from within to take responsibility for the wider Bournemouth office.”
