Gallagher enters partnership with new UK public policy think tank

Gallagher has agreed to a partnership with the newly established organisation, the Institute of Government and Public Policy (IGPP).

The partnership will see Gallagher inform and influence key debates and decision-making in public policy development.

IGPP was established to help steer public policy development, by facilitating engagement and interaction between the public and private sectors. The organisation will also produce and provide research, reports, events, and public policy briefings to inform, influence, impact, and educate across topical issues in the UK.

Through the partnership, Gallagher and IGPP can share specialist knowledge between the public and private sectors, as well as government departments, to ensure that risk and insurance is considered effectively, a release said.

As part of the partnership, Gallagher public sector & education practice managing director Tim Devine will become a member of the IGPP corporate advisory board.

“As a key supplier of risk and insurance solutions to the public sector, Gallagher is delighted to support the IGPP. The IGPP seeks to drive communication, collaboration and connectivity between the public and private sectors,” said Devine. “Working with a group of like-minded professionals across the UK will enable us to share thought leadership and specialist expertise to help guide and influence future public policy.”

“We are both delighted and fortunate to have Gallagher on board as a key partner. We look forward to working with a company of its calibre, innovation and tenacity to inform public policy debate and ultimately influence Government decision making,” added IGPP CEO Marc Davis.
