Brent Kruger has been a chief information officer since September 2008, and now has been tapped to serve in the same capacity at the UK operations of global broking and risk management giant Gallagher.

Taking up the post in November, Kruger is making the switch from JLT Specialty where he was CIO for UK & Ireland, Europe, and South Africa from 2016. Prior to that, he was Latin America CIO for Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group.

Kruger’s credentials also span his experience from Liberty Life, Chase Manhattan Bank, and The Bank of New York. In addition, the seasoned executive was with Aon for nearly a decade, three years of which were spent as chief information officer of Risk Solutions UK CIO.

In 2011 Kruger came onboard Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford as group CIO before moving to JLT about four years later. At Gallagher, his remit will include the strategic direction of the company’s UK technology division.

“With more than a decade of experience as a CIO within large insurance broking firms, and strong leadership credentials, Brent will be a great addition to our UK management team,” commented Gallagher’s UK chief operations officer Charles Crawford.

“His track record in setting strategic vision and delivering on it through technological transformation, as well as using new technologies to streamline operations and support customer interaction, means he is well-placed to drive forward our organisational priorities.”
