Bermuda-headquartered Hamilton Insurance Group has revealed the resignations of Hamilton Managing Agency Limited chief executive Tim Glover and chief underwriting officer David White.

The double departures from the group’s Lloyd’s operations will see the promotions of Lloyd’s Syndicate 4000 active underwriter Adrian Daws, deputy active underwriter and property head Miles Osorio, and head of property binders Mel Alexander.

Subject to regulatory approval, Daws will replace Glover as CEO of Hamilton Managing Agency Limited while Osorio will become the syndicate’s active underwriter. As for Alexander, she is taking on the position of chief underwriting officer, London branch, for Dublin-based carrier Hamilton Insurance DAC. The role is on top of her current capacity.

“Thanks to the considerable groupwide bench strength at Hamilton, we’ve been able to move quickly to activate our robust succession plan,” said group chief executive Pina Albo, who did not elaborate on Glover and White’s decision to leave.

“With over 20 years’ experience in the Lloyd’s market, Adrian is an excellent choice to succeed Tim. He’s one of the first employees hired in our London platform, a well-respected industry professional, and he knows the company well. We have no doubt that the transition of leadership will be seamless.”

Albo similarly had nice words for the other promoted executives – describing Osorio, who was also among the first hires like Daws, as “the perfect candidate” for his new remit, and calling Alexander “a shining light” since coming onboard as part of the group’s Pembroke Managing Agency swoop.
