Industrial lines insurer HDI Global continues the expansion of its client offering with the appointment of a new leader within its claims department in the UK and Ireland.

The company has appointed industry veteran John McCammon to the newly created role of director of claims for UK and Ireland. He will also join the executive team.

McCammon’s role was formed after HDI conducted a strategic review of its client proposition, according to Richard Taylor, the insurer’s managing director for UK and Ireland.

“As a result this role has been created to ensure that we are more closely aligned to the aims, targets and aspirations of both our business and that of our clients,” Taylor said.

“Bringing John on board to lead our claims teams reflects our commitment to drive increasingly high standards in our claims service,” he added.

McCammon brings 29 years of experience to HDI with knowledge across all claims disciplines and general management. For the last nine years, he has worked at Liberty Mutual in various leadership roles.
