Four organisations have announced senior appointments spanning workplace health consulting, London market broking, international casualty and regional independent broking.
The hires reflect activity across both global firms and smaller independents at a time when talent attraction and retention has risen to become the top business challenge for UK insurers.
Consilium, the global specialty reinsurance broker, has appointed Olivia Bellingham (pictured, left) as partner within its International Casualty Risk Solutions team, effective June 11.
Bellingham joins from BMS, where she was an international life sciences and casualty insurance broker. She began her career at CFC and brings 12 years of market experience.
The hire is the third addition to Consilium's Casualty team since the start of 2026.
Independent brokerage South Wales Insurance Brokers (SWIB) has appointed Martin Rees (pictured, right) as senior account executive as it continues its expansion across South Wales.
Rees brings decades of experience in the sector, having previously held senior leadership and director-level positions at major national brokers.
SWIB has completed its first acquisition, opened a new office in Treorchy, and continues to invest in local talent across the region.
Roberts-Rance brings more than 25 years of experience across the public and private healthcare sector in Australia and the UK, with a focus on workforce risk, culture and the people factors that influence patient health outcomes. She also spent seven years overseeing patient safety projects with NHS Trusts as part of a collaboration with a US university hospital.
In her new role, she will lead MMB's UK Workplace Health Consulting team as it broadens its offering to health and social care sector clients and engages with policymakers and government agencies. She will also join Mercer's Global Workforce Health advisory network.
Aon has appointed Steve Dando as chief broking officer for its Global Broking Centre (GBC), the firm's wholesale and specialty broking business, effective July 1.
Dando most recently served as CEO of Aon's Strategy and Technology Group and Inpoint across the UK and EMEA, where he led approximately 350 colleagues across advisory, analytics and portfolio strategy. Prior to Aon, he was global head of broking at The Ardonagh Group, where he built and led the firm's broking and carrier management strategy.
In her new role, Dando will set broking strategy for the London-based GBC, strengthen market connectivity, and lead Aon's integration of analytics, capital and global expertise to deliver risk transfer solutions for clients.
