Kevin Fisher (pictured), who most recently served as UK and global specialities chair at Guy Carpenter, is now the president of property and specialty re/insurer IQUW.

“This is a major coup for IQUW, and we’re delighted to have persuaded Kevin to join our team,” said group chief executive Peter Bilsby. “Having spent the last 18 months delivering our strategy to build a diverse multi-line portfolio, led by highly regarded underwriting and claims expertise, Kevin’s experience will be invaluable as we navigate our next growth phase and deepen our engagement with brokers.

“I believe that Kevin’s knowledge and expertise, allied to our vision to combine data, automation, and human expertise, will enable us to differentiate and enhance our proposition to become a valued partner for brokers and their clients.”

Fisher brings more than four decades of broking experience to IQUW, the cover of which is underwritten by IQUW (syndicate 1856) at Lloyd’s.

“I have been very impressed by IQUW’s market entry and the traction the team has achieved in a short space of time,” commented the new president, who will report to Bilsby. “Peter’s strategic vision to build a digitally enabled, analytical property and specialty re/insurer is an opportunity I couldn’t miss.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the team to work with such a first-class management and underwriting team, as we look to deepen relationships and continue to execute on IQUW’s vision together.”

The appointment comes hot on the heels of the arrival of property claims head Stuart Bell and lead property underwriter John Brown.
