The London Market Group (LMG) has announced the appointment of two new board members who will represent different market associations for 2024.

Jane Warren (pictured left) joins the board as a representative of the Lloyd’s Market Association. She currently serves as active underwriter for Liberty Specialty Market’s Syndicate 4472 and UK branch manager for its European business. She spent time as chief operating officer of AXIS Specialty Europe prior to her present roles.

Joining alongside Warren is Claire McDonald (pictured right), who became chair of the International Underwriting Association this year. McDonald is a member of the executive board at HDI Global SE and is also a council member of the Insurance Institute of London.

Commenting on the new appointments, LMG chair Sean McGovern highlighted the value of experienced industry professionals in guiding the organisation.

“Our work is better focussed and informed by the input we get from the senior market figures who give up their time to guide the work of the London Market Group, so we are grateful that Jane and Claire are joining the LMG board,” said McGovern.

“I would also like to express our sincere thanks to our departing board members, Matthew Moore and Phil Hobbs, for their contributions. I particularly wish to thank Matthew for the role he played as chair of the LMG for a number of years.”

McGovern took on the role of LMG chair after Moore ended his three-year tenure in December 2022.
