Nicolau Daudt (pictured above) has joined Oneglobal Broking, the international brokerage and delegated authority specialist formerly known as SSL Endeavour, as chief executive for a “critically important” growth region.

The key hire – whose experience includes time spent as CEO of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group’s Brazilian (re)insurance business and as Marsh Brazil deputy chief – will be in charge of Oneglobal’s operations in Latin America excluding Brazil.

“I am excited to be joining Oneglobal to lead the growth of its international retail specialty platform into Latin America,” commented Daudt. “I have admired the success of Oneglobal’s model as it has recently established operations in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Bermuda, built on its values of absolute client focus and trusted advice.

“I am looking forward to building a team of market-leading professionals across Latin America to provide the highest levels of expertise and service that our clients expect and deserve.”

In the coming months, client specialists are expected to come onboard Oneglobal, with Daudt’s appointment as Latin America CEO aimed at accelerating the broker’s capability build-out in key markets in the region.

Group chief executive Mike Reynolds (pictured immediately above) noted: “Nicolau has excellent relationships and a tremendous reputation throughout Latin America, and these will be instrumental in driving growth across such an important territory.

“As well as developing Oneglobal’s retail specialty presence in key Latin American markets, he will also be working closely with our Miami team to strengthen our relationships with clients in the region. We are excited to have him as a member of our growing team.”

Oneglobal chair Jonathan Palmer-Brown, meanwhile, highlighted the company’s plan in Latin America.

“We are privileged and excited to welcome Nicolau to Oneglobal in the leadership role for Latin America, a critically important growth region of the world which has been underserved by the broking community,” stated the group chairman.

“Under Nicolau’s leadership we intend to bring unbeatable specialty capability coupled with localised service to clients, taking broking back to its roots of focussing purely on client needs.”
