PwC is stepping up its focus on the London insurance market by appointing a new leader.

Paul Delbridge (pictured) is taking the role having built up 30 years’ experience at the firm, almost all of which has been spent across the insurance and reinsurance sectors. He will have responsibility for the firm’s activities and services to the Lloyd’s London market company and major broker markets.

“I am very excited about taking on this role within our practice,” he said. “Despite facing tough trading conditions, the London Market continues to be very dynamic, with modernisation, innovation, diversity and disruption all high on the agenda. I look forward to the challenge of ensuring that PwC offers the very best of our thinking, expertise and experience to our clients, and am looking to build on the very strong platform that Jim has built over the last four years.”

“The London Market is hugely important for PwC’s insurance practice and one where we have continued to grow and establish a leading presence in the assurance, deals, tax and advisory spaces supporting our clients,” said Bichard.
“Paul brings a fantastic wealth of experience and is ideally suited to developing and innovating how we work with our London Market and broking clients in the future.”
