PwC UK has welcomed Ross Evans (pictured) as a partner in the risk modelling services (RMS) business unit within the risk line of service.

In his new role, Evans aims to establish PwC as the go-to firm for capital management and investment advisory in the insurance sector, focusing on priority clients and supporting risk growth ambitions to scale insurance sector revenues over the next three years.

He will also build out the ESG proposition in this area with PwC’s wider ESG team.

Evans has over 20 years of experience in the insurance sector, five years of which was spent working as a senior consultant for PwC from 2002 to 2008. Since then, he has held senior positions within the sector, with key responsibilities in investment strategies and investment risks underlying asset intensive reinsurance deals.

Prior to re-joining PwC UK, Evans was most recently the head of investment solutions for the EMEA region at the Reinsurance Group of America.

“We are delighted that Ross has joined PwC as a partner,” said Colin Cummings, actuarial life insurance leader at PwC UK. “The UK life and pensions sector is undergoing unprecedented change and will do so for many years to come. This is driven by a mixture of regulatory and accounting changes, coupled with the need for these long-term businesses to transform how they engage with and meet customer needs in future. Ross’s appointment will therefore help grow our risk team at this crucial time.”
