Seventeen Group has announced the completion of two acquisitions this month. The deals further expand the group’s regional operations and sector capabilities.

Seventeen Group acquires Wisemans Insurance Services Limited

The first acquisition involves Wisemans Insurance Services Limited (Wisemans Insurance Services), a general broker located in Ashford, Surrey. The firm employs nine staff members and handles total premiums amounting to £3.5 million.

Seventeen Group said its long-standing relationship with Wisemans Insurance Services makes this acquisition a strategic fit. This move marks the group’s first foray into West London, with plans to maintain and grow the Ashford office.

Seventeen Group acquires North West Risk Solutions

The second acquisition is North West Risk Solutions, a partnership broker based in Manchester.

Known for its expertise in real estate and construction, much of the firm’s business will be incorporated into James Hallam’s Real Estate & Construction Division. Peter Stevenson, managing director, will continue with the company as a business developer.

Commenting on the double acquisition, Seventeen Group CEO Paul Anscombe said: “We are delighted to welcome our new colleagues into the group. This has not only extended our regional footprint but brought some great talent into our business.”

Seventeen Group acquires Jannard Quadrant Insurance Brokers

In addition to these acquisitions, Seventeen Group has recently acquired Jannard Quadrant Insurance Brokers (Jannard Quadrant), contributing £3.5 million in gross written premium (GWP) to the group.

Anscombe referred to this acquisition as a natural fit due to the existing strong relationship between the two parties.

“This was a natural acquisition for both parties,” he said. “We have known the Jannard Quadrant team for many years, we are both based in Watford, and there is an excellent trading relationship with Touchstone.”

Seventeen Group expands broking subsidiary

In March, Seventeen Group acquired Keith Miller Insurance Services and a book of business from Hendricks Insurance, expanding its broking subsidiary, James Hallam.

“Both are very complementary and bring on board highly experienced individuals to help achieve our growth ambitions,” Anscombe said. “We have been growing in Scotland over many years and see huge opportunities in this region as an independent broker… Seventeen Group continues to grow both organically and via acquisition. We are committed to a long-term future as an independent with several specialist areas of focus and a strong regional presence.”
