Towergate has entered into an agreement with Alcumus SafeContractor to provide insurance to the 27,000 members of its health and safety accreditation scheme.

The latest deal enables SafeContractor members, from sole traders to large contractors, to get tailored insurance. Companies with fewer than 10 employees will be offered bespoke quote-and-buy journey and advice from Towergate branches.

“We are offering all members bespoke insurance products and access to a panel of insurers who provide specialist, tailored cover and great customer service as quickly and effectively as possible,” said Towergate Insurance Broking CEO Janice Deakin.

Deakin called Towergate’s deal with SafeContractor a “pivotal partnership.”

Meanwhile, Alcumus Group COO Alyn Franklin said Towergate was the “obvious choice” for the company when it comes to insurance.

“Adequate insurance is essential to protect our contractors, something we want to ensure that our entire membership base benefits from,” Franklin said.

“By partnering with Towergate we are able to express the needs of our members very clearly and ensure that the insurance products being offered will be fit for purpose for the work activities being undertaken.”
