NFU Mutual has again been named by consumer champion Which? as insurance brand of the year.

Winning the award for a second straight year, the mutual insurer was recognised for its high levels of customer service over the past decade of Which? surveys. It was also highlighted that NFU Mutual is the only insurance provider with more than one Which? endorsement.

“Being named Which? insurance brand of the year in consecutive years is testament to NFU Mutual’s guiding approach of supporting members for the long term,” said customer services director Rachel Kelsall, who collected the award for NFU Mutual.

“During a challenging few years for everyone, I’m delighted that our employees and agents across the country have stepped up to support our customers and communities when they need us most. Insurers are rightly judged by the level of service they offer when times are tough, and I’d like to thank all our people for yet again demonstrating our commitment to being a great company to do business with.”

Meanwhile Which? chief executive Anabel Hoult added in an emailed release: “The Which? Awards judging standards are incredibly high, so to be named as a winner is a huge achievement – something only given to the best of the best.”

Outside of insurance, the other awardees were Starling Bank, banking brand; Jet2, travel; Richer Sounds, retailer; SMARTY, utilities; Mercedes-Benz, car; Google, technology; Samsung, computing; LG, home entertainment; Philips, small kitchen appliance; AEG, large kitchen appliance; and Vantage Windows and Doors, trusted trader of the year.

The Which? Awards have been running since 2007.
