Independent specialist insurer and reinsurer Apollo has hired Tim Cook (pictured) as head of construction.
Making the switch from Allianz Global Corporate & Speciality, Cook will lead Apollo’s expansion into construction physical damage cover. He brings 37 years of industry experience to the post.
“Having received Lloyd’s approval of our 2023 plan, we are excited to expand our construction capability with the addition of construction physical damage,” said chief underwriting officer James Slaughter.
“Tim brings complementary expertise to our existing construction liability portfolio, to support our valued clients. This is another positive move for Apollo as we continue to diversify our group-wide offering to achieve our ongoing strategy of profitable growth.”
Cook will report to Kate Foster, who will join Apollo in January 2023 as divisional head of the property team.
