HSB Engineering Insurance, the UK-based arm of Munich Re subsidiary Hartford Steam Boiler, has launched a new online trading platform for brokers.

Called HSB Fast Track, the e-trade tool is part of the specialist engineering and technology insurer’s online distribution strategy. It will initially offer annual construction, project construction, contractors’ plant, and computer insurance.

HSB Engineering Insurance said more offerings are slated to be part of the new platform.

“We’re really excited to be launching HSB Fast Track,” commented alternative distribution manager Paul Cullum. “Our e-trade platform has been designed to make construction and engineering products easy to trade electronically and its development follows research and feedback from our brokers.”

Meanwhile a dedicated e-trade team, headed by development manager Martin Parker, has also been set up. This will provide brokers direct access to specialist referral underwriters as well as quick response to e-trade queries.
