Brokers are getting all the help they need in navigating the world of cyber risk.

Available on Ecclesiastical’s website, a new resource on cyber safety has been published by the specialist insurer in collaboration with Blackstone Consultancy. The guidance comes as 54% of brokers say they would welcome more support from insurers in selling cyber products, according to research commissioned by Ecclesiastical.

“Cyber insurance can offer a safety net should the worst happen, and brokers play an important role in helping clients understand the risks they are facing and in ensuring they have the right cover in place,” noted Ecclesiastical’s art and private client development director Sarah Willoughby.

“Cyber cover is a huge growth opportunity for private client brokers, and our research has found brokers need more support from insurers to help them crack the cyber market. We hope this new guidance will help brokers speak to their clients about how they can best protect themselves from online risks.”

Conducted last year by independent research agency FWD on behalf of Ecclesiastical, the poll involved 250 UK business placing brokers.
