It looks like Tasker Insurance Group’s managing general agent Gresham Underwriting (GUL) has its ears to the ground – introducing a new product following feedback from its broker partners who wanted more market options outside of schemes and affinities.

Now available on GUL’s online quote system, the new sports and social clubs offering was initially launched to a select panel of brokers in early June before its wider rollout to the company’s base of more than 650 broking houses. The goal was to make sure the proposition meets the needs of both clients and brokers.

“We at Gresham Underwriting place our broker partners and their clients at the centre of everything we do,” stated product manager Mick Husband. “We have an open dialogue with our network and have listened when they asked us to research the sports and social clubs sector.

“We found that a high proportion of organisations within this sector trust their local broker to place their insurances; however, there is a lack of viable options for brokers outside of schemes which often command high commission levels which in the end has to be paid for by the client.”

According to GUL, the new product – which was developed by its parent group’s in-house technology team – is “one of several” lined up for the year.
