PCH marks third acquisition in three months

Premier Choice Healthcare (PCH), a health insurance intermediary owned by Brown & Brown (Europe), has completed its third acquisition in three months.

In March, PCH acquired Central Healthcare Limited, a Midlands-based intermediary. This was followed in April by the acquisition of PCH Solutions, an intermediary partnership based in Kent.

Most recently, PCH has acquired MGM Health Limited, a North West London-based intermediary, from Dr Geetha Muralee, a specialist in the health industry.

All three intermediaries provide consumer and business healthcare insurance. Following these acquisitions, Marc Nicol (director of Central Healthcare), Ian Reader and Russell Turner (partners of PCH Solutions), and Dr Geetha Muralee will serve as PCH ambassadors.

PCH managing director Stephen Hough commented that beyond acquiring three established books of business, these deals will help build out their ambassador programme.

“This gives our very experienced intermediaries the opportunity to stay involved, maintain strong relationships with existing customers and help develop other members of our team by sharing their experience and their industry knowledge,” Hough said.

All three acquisitions have been completed, and the terms of the transactions remain undisclosed.

Dual acquisition in November

In November, PCH has also expanded its operations by acquiring 100% of the share capital of Buckinghamshire-based Homewood Health Ltd and the health insurance portfolio of Margaret Clark in Peterborough.

Both Homewood Health and Margaret Clark's portfolio are known for their consumer and business healthcare insurance offerings. Following these acquisitions, Andrew Needham, director of Homewood Health, and Margaret Clark will join PCH as ambassadors. In their new roles, they will contribute their industry knowledge and experience to the PCH team.

“As well as giving us two well-established and thriving books of business, these two deals will enable us to continue to build out our ambassador program,” Hough said. “The program gives our very experienced intermediaries the opportunity to stay involved, maintain strong relationships with existing customers, and help develop the less experienced members in our team.”
