Travel insurance and scheme specialist business Alpha Underwriting has been acquired by Sunderland-based travel insurance provider Just Travel Cover for an undisclosed sum.
“This is an exciting acquisition for Just Travel Cover as we continue to grow our wholesale division as part of our wider company growth strategy,” said Just Travel Cover director Daley Gore (pictured above). “We’re looking forward to welcoming these new brokers onboard and providing access to our suite of travel insurance products – just in time for the post-COVID travel boom.
“The acquisition presents a great opportunity to help these brokers grow too, with full training and support on our portal which provides them with a range of products to cover all ages and risks in one place, as well as the award-winning parametric product for delayed/lost luggage to help them stand out from the crowd.”
Just Travel Cover is looking to novate all Alpha Underwriting brokers by August 15, with system access and training set this summer. The new broker partners will also be provided a 360-degree digital ecosystem spanning back-office access, a branded business-to-consumer web engine, GDPR-compliant (General Data Protection Regulation) customer accounts and document centre, and access to Smart Luggage.
Featuring parametric insurance, Smart Luggage is a lost luggage policy that was created by Just Travel Cover and former Alpha Underwriting owner CPP Secure Limited.
