London-based Janine McGriskin, who came onboard Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) in March 2020, has moved up as BHSI’s head of financial institutions for the UK.

Prior to her promotion, McGriskin served as UK financial institutions senior underwriter. She has around two decades of executive & professional lines underwriting experience to her name.  

Commenting on the internal hire, UK head of executive & professional lines Chris Warrior said: “Janine has been central to our success in achieving a leadership position in the UK executive & professional lines marketplace.

“As our customers continue to face a challenging market, we are pleased to promote Janine to head our financial institutions portfolio and bring our solution-focussed approach to financial institutions in the UK and Europe.”

McGriskin’s credentials include time spent at Zurich, Marsh, and XL Catlin.
