Castlebridge Risk Solutions Limited will enter the UK insurance market on June 3, 2025, positioning itself as a commercial broker focused on delivering cover for businesses and property owners.

Founded by industry professionals Tim Grant (pictured left) and James Dunsby (pictured right), the firm aims to provide advice-led insurance solutions supported by technology and data to help clients identify risk and improve business continuity. The co-founders bring a combined track record from broking and underwriting roles, and a 20-year professional relationship developed across multiple firms.

Castlebridge will operate as an Appointed Representative (AR) of Momentum Broker Solutions. This model gives the firm access to regulatory support, market infrastructure, and a panel of insurers and MGAs without the need for direct authorisation from the Financial Conduct Authority. The arrangement allows the business to focus on client acquisition and broking operations while outsourcing compliance, placement, and back-office functions.

The firm will offer a range of commercial insurance products, including property, liability and combined business covers, with a focus on small to mid-sized enterprises. While the business will begin with a general commercial focus, it is also exploring opportunities to develop more specialised propositions for property owners, professional services and other defined sectors over time.

Castlebridge has also outlined plans to scale through a combination of organic growth, strategic partnerships and selective acquisition. It will also explore relationships with appointed representatives or affiliates under its own brand.

“We want to be known as an exceptional and highly innovative broker, delivering exceptional outcomes to clients, partners and our people,” said managing director Tim Grant.

It expects to expand its team in the months following launch, targeting individuals with experience in commercial lines broking and client relationship management.

Castlebridge is entering a market where the AR model continues to gain traction among new entrants seeking to reduce the regulatory burden of launching independently. The firm joins a growing group of brokers seeking to combine traditional broking practices with technology-driven client service models.
