The British arm of Allianz now has its first-ever digital claims propositions manager in the form of stalwart Shelley Hughes (pictured).
“As part of our ‘fit for future’ strategy, we are constantly looking at ways that we can continue to improve and strengthen our claims function,” said head of claims strategy and customer experience Margaret Scott, who is “very confident” that Hughes’ appointment to the newly created position will help future-proof the insurer’s claims capabilities.
Hughes, who has been with Allianz Insurance since 2002, will be in charge of leading the development of a multi-channel and data-driven claims proposition as well as bringing digital innovations and techniques to the business in order to meet customers’ changing expectations.
Previous roles held by the company veteran include claims data and insight team leader. Most recently she spent six months at Allianz Group in Munich working on automation strategy.
