Aventum has appointed Hasani Jess (pictured above) as the group’s inaugural chief technology officer as part of its strategy to construct a technology ecosystem to facilitate its growth.

Hasani has 25 years of experience as a technologist across a broad spectrum of industries. He transitions to Aventum from Simply Business, where he had held the position of CTO for the past five years.

His professional history encompasses roles at major blue-chip enterprises, including TUI, Harrods, Deutche Bank, UBS, IBM, and Visa, as revealed on his LinkedIn.

Within 12 to 24 months, Hasani aims to assemble a team of 70 professionals and deliver a flagship insurance platform, encompassing market-leading broker and underwriter workbenches. This strategic move is expected to accelerate Aventum’s and its individual brands’ capacity to expand by developing new capabilities and making data-driven decisions.

“Hasani is a visionary, and an inspiring technologist,” Aventum CEO David Bearman said. “I am confident he will lead Aventum to not only transmit our vision but truly set us apart as a disruptor in the industry. Hasani’s appointment marks a coup for our group as we embark on the next stage of our evolution. He will effect change, and will do it quickly – so watch this space.”
