Telematics-based insurer Insure The Box is supporting its ambitious growth plans with an office space expansion in its North Tyneside operation and the signing of a 10-year lease.

The expansion increases Insure the Box’s office space by 50%, allowing the firm to bring all of its North Tyneside staff under one roof. The insurer also takes the majority of building Q11 at Quorum Business Park.

“It gives us the space to grow as we build on the success of our established telematics insurance proposition,” said Insure The Box founder and CEO Mike Brockman.

“The signing of a 10-year lease is a great marker of the continued success of the business and demonstrates the growing appetite for telematics,” Brockman also said.

Insure The Box’s North Tyneside operation hosts the company’s customer service centre, technology, innovation and engineering departments.

North Tyneside mayor Norma Redfearn thanked the insurer for its contributions to the local economy.

“Insure The Box has made North Tyneside home for its operations since it started in 2010 and it’s fantastic news that the business continues to value the skills and enthusiasm of the people who live in the area,” Redfearn said.

“This office expansion marks exciting times for Insure The Box as it embarks on the next stage of its business development.”
