Mamone brings 37 years of experience in technology and leadership roles across various industries.
Before joining WTW, Mamone served as group chief information officer at GBG, a digital identity specialist. In that role, he oversaw more than 500 technology professionals across product management, product engineering, information security, customer support, and service operations. His previous leadership roles include positions at Serco, BAE, and BT.
In his new position, Mamone will lead the strategic development of WTW’s software delivery processes, overseeing a portfolio of insurance technology solutions, including Radar, Igloo, ResQ, Unify, and the RiskAgility suite. He will also manage the ICT unit’s platform and security teams, as well as its broader architecture.
Duncan Anderson, WTW’s global leader of insurance technology, highlighted Mamone’s expertise and leadership.
“Mark’s deep expertise and leadership experience in software delivery make him a significant addition to WTW. He brings an outstanding track record of enabling growth through innovation which I am confident will enhance our global SaaS capabilities and support our mission of innovating and transforming the insurance industry,” Anderson said.
Mamone expressed enthusiasm for his new role, emphasising his commitment to building on WTW’s existing technology.
“I am excited to be given the opportunity to work with WTW’s hugely experienced and talented ICT team. I look forward to harnessing and extending WTW’s market-leading technology capabilities and innovations to deliver solutions that generate exceptional value to our clients and build upon WTW’s reputation for excellence,” Mamone said.
In other recent developments, WTW also announced that it has obtained a license to operate as a reinsurance broker in Saudi Arabia. The move expands WTW's presence in the kingdom and aligns with its strategy to enhance international capabilities.
The company also named Mohammed S AlSudairy as head of reinsurance broking for WTW Saudi Arabia.
