Independent insurance agency Acentria has announced executive leadership promotions. The promotions help leverage Acentria as it continues to experience significant growth and expansion, the company said.

Effective immediately, Kendall McEachern (pictured above), co-founder of Acentria Insurance, will serve as chairman of the company’s board of directors. McEachern, who has 35 years of industry experience, co-founded Acentria Insurance in 2010. The company launched with just 25 staff members, and today has more than 600 employees and approximately $90 million in annualized revenue. As chairman, McEachern will oversee mergers and expansions.

Co-founder Kevin Mason, meanwhile, has been named CEO. Mason previously served as company president, and has nearly 30 years of industry experience. A nationally recognized top producer and agent, Mason has been instrumental in fostering a corporate culture that has led to Acentria Insurance being recognized as an “Employer of Choice” and “Top Insurance Workplace”.

Finally, Mary Lawless has been promoted to president, and will also continue to serve as chief operations officer. Lawless has held a variety of senior management positions in personal lines, select business and employee benefits along with agency operations. She has more than 30 years of insurance industry experience.

“Both Kevin and Mary have played an integral role in Acentria’s success,” McEachern said. “These promotions are not only well-deserved, but they represent a further evolution of our management structure by promoting from within, all while offering our team members and industry leaders an opportunity to further their personal and professional development.”
