Allied Insurance Brokers has appointed Tres Whitlock as the company’s new president.

Whitlock has been serving Allied Insurance Brokers for nearly 10 years, most recently as vice-president of sales. He is also a shareholder in the company, as well as a member of the company’s board and executive team.

As president, he will be responsible for leading the organization’s goals and objectives on the enterprise level, as well as overseeing Allied Insurance Brokers’ specialty underwriting and wholesale division, Ascinsure Specialty Risk. A release said that on top of these responsibilities, Whitlock will continue to maintain and grow his own book of business as well.

He has been credited with helping create and implement a number of very successful initiatives, which include a producer trainee program, a multi-line scaffold program, and the automation of its sales process via a customized CRM. Allied Insurance Brokers has also recognized Whitlock’s contributions to the company’s focus on risk engineering.

“Our organization prides itself on always looking to be ahead of the curve, and appointing Tres as president does just that,” commented Allied Insurance Brokers chairman and COO Marty O’Brien. “Our industry is getting increasingly automated and services oriented. Having Tres in this position of leadership will allow Allied to continue to thrive in today’s, and the future’s, competitive environment. Essentially what this means is that we will be well equipped to continue to provide leading insurance programs and solutions to our clients and their niche industries like no-one else can.”
