AmeriTrust Group has announced the appointment of Traci McGuire as its chief claims officer. McGuire will be based in the company’s Westerville, Ohio, office. She previously served as senior vice president of claims.

“I am very pleased to announce this promotion for Traci McGuire,” said Kenn R. Allen, president and CEO of AmeriTrust. “Traci has effectively led teams of insurance professionals in handling highly complex claims for AmeriTrust and works closely with our underwriting operation as well.”

McGuire joined AmeriTrust subsidiary Century Surety in 2012 as a claims attorney. Since joining the company, she has also served as assistant vice president and managing claims attorney, vice president of claims and vice president of casualty litigation. Prior to joining the company, McGuire was a litigation partner at an Ohio-based law firm.

McGuire holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in speech communications from Miami University and a juris doctorate from the Ohio State University College of Law.
