‘Go west, young auto insurer’  is the advice being followed by the eighgth-fastest growing property and casualty provider in America.

Elephant Auto Insurance has just opened up a Dallas office and is on the lookout for new talent in sales, by customer service and claims roles.

The location is the suburb of Carrollton, just north of Dallas, and Elephant says it’s hiring people regardless of their experience in the insurance industry.

The company has been growing dramatically, having brought on 1,507 people over the course of 17 years and reaching “double-digit growth in every state.”

Texas is the fastest growing state for Elephant, warranting the expansion.

"It's a pleasure to announce this investment in the Dallas Fort Worth area, where the labor force is well educated, friendly, hard-working, honest, analytical, and creative," Kevin Chidwick, CEO of Elephant, said in a statement. "We are excited to start recruiting for our brand new office in Carrollton, helping people build a long and rewarding career with Elephant.”

Elephant says it believes in more care and less cost. It boasts an endorsement from the Richmond Times-Dispatch newspaper, which called the insurer one of its Top Places to Work in 2016.

Elephant is headquartered in Richmond, Va.
