Beazley names head of new specialty risks team

Specialist insurer Beazley has announced the appointment of Florian Beerli as head of its newly formed Specialty Risks & US Programs team. Beerli (pictured above) will also remain global lead for product recall.

Specialty Risks & US Programs includes niche products that require wide underwriting and claims expertise, Beazley said. Product offerings include:

• Product recall: Coverage for consumable products, consumer goods, and component parts manufacturers globally
• Media liability: A product for media-related businesses ranging from publishers to broadcasters, bloggers, vloggers, social influencers and authors
• Miscellaneous medical and life sciences (small business): Professional and general liability insurance for a range of US-based healthcare providers
• US specialty programs: Programs designed for a variety of specialty risk categories for professional and general liability risks in the US
