Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has announced the appointment of Renee Yozzi to lead customer and broker engagement for the Eastern US region.

“As a former risk manager and broker, Renee has unique insight into our customers’ needs and experiences,” said Lori Spoon, head of customer and broker engagement at BHSI. “Renee is exceptionally well equipped to work in partnership with our customers and brokers, fortifying relationships and bringing in the expertise and creativity of our team. Renee will hit the ground running. We’re thrilled to have her out front bringing the team’s capability, long-term commitment, and ‘claims is our product’ philosophy to the US insurance marketplace.”

Yozzi has nearly 20 years of industry experience. Prior to joining BHSI, she served as director of strategic and enterprise risk management at Nejamin Moore & Co. She has also served as director of enterprise risk management and Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of N.J. and as an account executive at Willis. Yozzi holds a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation. She will be based in BHSI’s New York office.
