Florida-based Brightway Insurance, one of the largest independent personal lines insurance agencies in the US, has reached $600 million in annualized written premium. Brightway began franchizing in 2008 and finished that year with $38 million in premium.

“Nearly 11 years ago, we looked at the industry and started asking, ‘What should be?’ and from there built a model that delivers a world-class experience to our customers and a comprehensive system of support that helps our franchise owners achieve success,” said Michael Miller, co-founder and CEO of Brightway. “We continue to learn, grow, challenge ourselves and improve every day, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the company and our business partners.”

In addition to achieving $600 million in annualized written premium, Brightway has recently been recognized for other achievements by the Jacksonville Business Journal:

  • Ranking No. 1 for the eighth consecutive year on the list of top independent insurance agencies in Northeast Florida.
     
  • Being named one of the fastest-growing companies in Northeast Florida for the 11th consecutive year.
     
  • Being named one of Northeast Florida’s best places to work for the second straight year.
