Major North American insurer Burns & Wilcox recently announced its sponsorship of professional golf athletes in the coming Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) competitions.

According to a company statement, the insurer will provide continued support for PGA champion Jimmy Walker and add US Open winner Webb Simpson as a company endorser.

Walker and Simpson and their support teams will wear the Burns & Wilcox colors in their professional gear during competitions and tournaments as part of the sponsorship arrangement.

“Webb Simpson displays great drive and professionalism - values we both share - so we welcome him to Team Burns & Wilcox. Like golf, insurance is a carefully calculated expertise that requires precision against a varying landscape, and the manner in which Jimmy and Webb play the sport represents how we win for our clients,” HW Kaufman Financial Group president and chief executive Alan Jay Kaufman explained in the statement. Kaufman Financial is the parent firm of Burns & Wilcox.

In response, Walker said, “I appreciate the support of Burns & Wilcox and look forward to continuing to build on the success of our long-term relationship.”

In addition, Simpson also noted, “I am proud to represent such a positive organization while playing the game I love.”
