Chubb makes two leadership appointments

Chubb has announced two new leadership appointments in its reinsurance team at Chubb Overseas General (COG), the company’s international general reinsurance business.

Chubb’s ceded reinsurance business will now be co-led by Sunil Parmar and Alexander Crosby, who have been jointly promoted to the role of vice president and senior reinsurance officer for COG. They succeed Jeremiah Konz, who has been appointed as chief reinsurance officer for Chubb. In their new roles, Parmar and Crosby will be responsible for treaty reinsurance purchases within COG worldwide.

Parmar and Crosby will report to Konz and Timothy O’Donnell, vice president of Chubb Group and division president, commercial property and casualty, overseas general insurance.

Parmar, who previously served as senior reinsurance officer for Chubb European Group, will continue to be based in London. His responsibilities will include managing and executing the purchase of property, casualty, financial lines, marine, specialty, and aviation treaties across COG. Parmar has more than 17 years of experience managing ceded reinsurance buyers. Prior to joining Chubb, Parmar held positions at Montpelier Re and Guy Carpenter.

“I am delighted that we are able to promote Sunil and Alex to this important role,” O’Donnell said. “Reinsurance is a vital aspect of our insurance business operation and a fundamental part of how we manage risk. Both Sunil and Alex bring with them not only deep expertise, but also impressive technical and analytical skills, and I look forward to working with them in their new posts.”
