CNA appoints Senior Vice President for financial institution and management liability division

Paul Larson has more than 24 years of industry experience; he will be tasked to help with the division’s strategies and growth

CNA announced Friday that it has appointed Paul Larson to Senior Vice President, Financial Institutions and Management Liability, effective Oct. 3, 2016.

“Larson will be responsible for driving strategy and profitable growth for both of these high-performing areas,” a release said.

“As one of the largest financial institution and management liability underwriters in the market, CNA is 100 percent committed to providing great stability and value for our brokers and their clients,” CNA Specialty President and Chief Operating Officer Mark Herman. “Paul’s strong leadership and underwriting experience make him an ideal candidate to grow and advance our strategy for the Financial Institutions and Management Liability segments. With the addition of Paul’s leadership, we will ensure our continued success in the Specialty marketplace.”

Larson brings over 24 years of insurance industry experience to CAN. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President for Chubb, where he handled management liability lines of business for publicly traded companies in the U.S., Canada and Bermuda. Previously, he held various leadership roles at Chubb, including Senior Vice President, Specialty Risk Center Manager. He began his career in insurance as a Commercial Lines Underwriter for Continental Insurance Company in California.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Finance from California State University.
