CSAA Insurance Group has announced that it has named Bob Valliere as its executive vice president (EVP) of insurance operations.

Valliere will oversee business aspects and functions such as claims, policyholder service, product management, underwriting, agency support and actuarial, a release said. He will report directly to CSAA Insurance Group CEO Paula Downey.

He has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry – the last 14 of which he spent in “key leadership positions” with AAA and CSAA Insurance Group. Prior to his new appointment, Valliere was most recently vice-president of policyholder service. Before joining AAA Northern California in 2004 as regional claims executive, Valliere was with Amica Mutual Insurance as a senior assistant vice-president in the claims department.

“I have great confidence in Bob, whose strong track record of achievement and demonstrated passion for customers align well with our mission of creating members for life by fulfilling our promise to be there when they need us,” said Downey.

Valliere received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut School of Business. He also currently serves on the J.D. Power Insurance Advisory Board.

“I’m honored to join the executive leadership team of this organization as we start a new chapter in our history with a broader vision of how we can provide value to AAA members,” commented Valliere. “I’m grateful to work with such a talented team as we strive to improve operations, build products that provide the peace of mind people expect from AAA, and deliver on our promise to be there when members need us.”
