Insurance education organization Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS) recently announced that it will present the 45th Annual International Conference from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 in Columbus, Ohio.

According to a release, “the Conference is the premier event for the insurance industry to engage the next generation of professionals with 50 colleges and universities sending 500 of their best and brightest undergraduates to attend.”

The three-day event will host the largest insurance-specific career fair in North America, with over 60 exhibiting organizations and more than 300 job interviews scheduled. In addition, attendees can look forward to the over 25 educational sessions, leadership seminars, and hot topic forums led by industry professionals that will transpire in the event.

Notably, the event and location is one of three in the United States participating in the global Dive In Festival, “an industry-wide event highlighting the business case for diverse and inclusive workplaces and providing practical ideas and inspiration for how to bring about positive change.”

To coincide with the event, GIS will inaugurate the Recruiters Roundtable, which brings together recruiters from global and local companies. The invited recruiters will then discuss industry best practices, shares ideas, and even engage with GIS students and alumni.

Also during the event, GIS—in collaboration with Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF)—will launch a community service project. The project corresponds with GIS’ Annual Week of Giving, which happens to fall on the same week as the event this year. This project aims to support the Dress for Success organization.

Last year, the Conference attracted more than 575 students and advisors from 53 colleges and universities across North America, as well as 75 sponsors, 65 exhibitors, and over 250 industry representatives.
