The insurance sector has announced a series of senior leadership appointments across associations, brokerages, carriers, and technology providers.
Jason Bartow was elected president of the Professional Insurance Agents of New York State (PIANY) at its annual business meeting on Sept. 10.
Bartow (pictured above, left), commercial lines executive president of Eugene A. Bartow Insurance Agency Inc. and Jebb Brokerage Inc., has served in numerous leadership roles within the association, including president-elect, vice president and treasurer.
Other newly elected officers include Michael Loguercio Jr. as president-elect, Jorge Hernandez as first vice president, Eric Cohen as vice president, Ed Chadwick as treasurer, and Justin Fries as secretary. Richard Andrews will serve as immediate past president.
Alliant Insurance Services has appointed Sara Stein (poictured above, centre) as senior vice president to lead growth in the association and affinity market.
Based in Maryland, Stein will focus on expanding practice reach, drawing on her prior leadership experience in group insurance member programs.
AmTrust Financial Services has launched E&S Premier, a business group targeting complex casualty risks.
Curt Fletcher has been named senior vice president and Matt Thomas vice president, both bringing extensive underwriting backgrounds. The unit will distribute exclusively through wholesale brokers, expanding AmTrust’s presence in specialty markets.
Ryan Specialty Holdings has appointed reinsurance veteran Michael Bungert to its board of directors, effective Sept. 3. Bungert, former chairman of Aon Re Global, joins the Compensation and Governance Committee, bringing nearly five decades of experience in reinsurance and specialty markets.
Ruben Veerasamy, senior vice president for the Caribbean at Equisoft, has joined the Insurance Association of the Caribbean (IAC) board of directors. Veerasamy (pictured above, right) has worked with insurers across the region on digital transformation and modernization initiatives.
Willis, a WTW business, has expanded its placement and portfolio solutions team with two senior hires. Gina Mulhall will lead global portfolio solutions, including the Gemini facility, while Kapila Rudra will serve as head of data strategy. Both previously held senior roles at Marsh, bringing expertise in specialty placement and data-driven strategy.
Davies has appointed John Salt as group chief product officer to lead claims technology development.
Previously CIO for Davies’ UK and Ireland business, Salt has overseen the rollout of AI-driven claims systems. His role is central to Davies’ Vision 2030 strategy, which focuses on AI investment, operational efficiency, and global expansion.
